We want everyone to have a fun, safe and memorable time at High Farm. Our animals are a big part of the experience, so please follow these simple guidelines to help keep everyone safe and well.

Some people are more vulnerable to infections from animals, particularly young children and those with weakened immune system.
- Children under 3 must not touch animals.
- Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. If adequate supervision cannot be maintained, direct contact with animals must not take place.
- People who are immunosuppressed, frail or receiving treatment that weakens their immune system should avoid animal contact.
- Anyone unable to understand or follow hygiene guidance should not have direct contact with animals.
All visitors should wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after touching animals, leaving animal contact zones and before eating or drinking.

We want The Paddocks to be a fun, safe and enjoyable place for the whole family. To help everyone enjoy their visit — and to keep our animals happy and healthy — please follow these simple guidelines.
To help keep all our young visitors safe, please follow these recommended adult-to-child supervision ratios:
Children's Age | Recommended Supervision
👶 Under 1 year - 1 adult for every 1 child
🧒 1–2 years - 1 adult for every 2 children
🧸 2–3 years - 1 adult for every 3 children
👫 3–5 years - 1 adult for every 4 children
👦 5–8 years - 1 adult for every 8 children
Please remember: Children should always be supervised appropriately, particularly when visiting or interacting with the animals.
There are some additional precautions for pregnant visitors, particularly around lambing time.
Sheep can carry an organism called Chlamydia psittaci, which in rare cases can cause complications during pregnancy.
As a precaution, pregnant visitors should avoid contact with newborn lambs, kids (baby goats) and any animal birthing materials.
These simple guidelines help us look after our visitors, our team and, most importantly, our animals.
Thank you for helping us keep The Paddocks a safe, happy and enjoyable place for everyone to explore. 💚
